he Innus Located 250 kilometers north of Schefferville, in an area around the George River, this traditional Innu camp will allow you to discover an authentic Aboriginal culture. This territory is an important reference point in the history of the Naskapi and the Innu of Québec and Labrador. The Innu named this place "Mushuau-nipi", the Land without Trees. On different maps, this area is also called Indian House Lake.

Learn about their history, their rich culture, and their great knowledge of the area's fauna and flora.

A unique and beautiful environment

The sub-Arctic tundra is at first sight arid and inhospitable. It was called "The land god gave to Caïn" by several explorers. The valley of George is however an interesting contrast in this rugged land: it abounds with wild flowers, wild fruits, very old trees (hundreds of years) and unusual rock formations formed by the glaciers thousands of years ago.
