Treat yourself to the Great North!  Basic package

Our basic package has been developed for those who want to discover the Great North and most especially the George River, with its beautiful valley, powerful rapids, past and present inhabitants and finally its flora of a surprising variety.

You will discover this part of our country through many excursions on the river and treks in chosen areas of our vast territory of more than 100 km. We will show you the Hades Mountains, go to the northern limit of our territory, the 57th parallel, visit the Valley of the Falcoz River and its emerald green waters. We will then bring you south , to the Indian River Valley (traditional camping site of the Natives), to the High Cliff Mountain and naturally to this immense lake on the George : the Indian House Lake.

You will be in full security all the time and every evening, you will come back to our beautiful lodge to enjoy first class dining and comfort of our log cabins. Our guides will be with you to discover all the richness of this harsh land. You will travel through the powerful rapids of the George, discover the road of the first explorers, visit ancient and traditional camping sites of the first natives inhabiting this country and enjoy encounters with caribou, bear, wolf, fox, porcupine, marten, etc...

Ornithologists, you will be surprised. The Valley of the George is a natural habitat for several species of birds. The ptarmigan is ever present on the land, some species of sandpipers live there also. The arctic tern is there in July and the Canada geese cross the territory in the spring and in the fall. The valley is also visited by several species of ducks and by birds of prey like the bald eagle, the peregrine falcon, the osprey, the snowy owl, and many other kinds of falcons and owls.
